A creator and investor, Sheel Mohnot leads the 500 Startups FinTech Fund and accelerator. He founded two startups with successful FinTech exits as well as co-founded a food and health company called Thistle and a startup podcast called The Pitch (sold to Gimlet media). He formerly worked as a financial services consultant at BCG and started his FinTech career at the non-profit P2P lender Kiva. Francois has more than two decades of experience in investment, entrepreneurship and consulting. Having worked as both the CEO of start-ups and as an investor, he understands both sides. On the one hand, he helps entrepreneurs in structuring, growing and financing their project, from strategy clarification, business plans, pitches and differentiation, mentoring, project management, go-to-market strategy, fund raising. On the other hand, he helps investors in pre-investment activities (sourcing, assessing projects) and post-investment: entrepreneur mentoring, pivoting, project management, part-time management, business plan reviews, controlling.
 
Alongside his mentoring activities, Francois is also a lecturer in business schools, teaching Future Studies, Entrepreneurship and Strategy at several university campuses in London (Dauphine, INSEEC).
